About us

The Government of Greenland has given Royal Arctic Line A/S an exclusive concession for the transportation of all sea cargo to and from Greenland and between the Greenlandic towns and settlements. There are several conditions associated with the concession regarding frequency, capacity and security of supply for all the towns on both the East Coast and the West Coast. As a result, the shipping company is Greenland’s lifeline, ensuring supplies to the entire country. Royal Arctic Line A/S was founded in 1993 and it is wholly owned by the Government of Greenland.
