UNIMARINE URUGUAY S.A. began transactions in Uruguay in the year 1994 as a Shipping Agency specialized in the transportation of containers with dry and refrigerated cargo. Also in 1994 it started operations in Paraguay under the name Unimarine Paraguay S.A., aiming to develop fluvial transit with that country, being both aware of the importance of business on a regional level, mainly directed to transit cargo and bearing in mind the advantages that Montevideo Free Port provides as Mercosur Hub. Unimarine represents EVERGREEN LINE, which is one of the main ship-owners in the global traffic of containers with a fleet of more than 180 vessels and a capacity of 650.000 teus. It is also part of NODUS, a group with more than a 60 year tradition in the shipping, ports and logistic business, which enables the company to offer a solid, reliable as well as qualified service, in line with the current demands of the business and committed with its development both nationally and internationally. The company has a valuable highly qualified team as well as a wide network of consultants in the areas of human resources, quality, IT and legal affairs, which enables it to offer a service that meets the international quality levels, thus being the first shipping agency in the country to receive ISO standard 9001:2000 (currently 9001:2008)
