About us
Founded in 1983, we started our footsteps in logistics industry with the name Modern Century Sea Freight Limited (former known as Modern Century Forwarding Limited). In 1995, we expanded our service with another brand name, Modern Century Air Freight Limited, which specialized in handling air cargo. Thereafter, in light of continuous blooming market in China, we expanded our market share and set up Modern Century (Shanghai) Logistics Ltd. (formerly known as Shenzhen Modern Century Logistics Limited) which specialized in handling all sorts of cargo in China. Up to present, we are proud to run our branch offices at Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen and Shenzhen; and head office in Hong Kong. At the moment, the only major shareholder of the group is Mr Y M Chan. After graduating in 1983 with a degree of biology in the University of Hong Kong, Mr Chan was all set for a career in teaching profession. However, after working as a teacher in a local secondary school for a few months, a job opportunity arose in the Hong Kong Representative office of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation. This job opened his door into shipping industry which was booming in the 1980s.
